Refusing to adjust their artistic direction, [Paulson] has re-released, remixed and re-mastered their latest album: the brilliant All at Once, including four new songs. The result is an excellent record that’s re-energized, cohesive and, unlike the previous release, fluid from start to finish...getting here hasn’t been easy—it was a tumultuous, three-year roller coaster for the band. But the well-crafted, heavily descriptive “Window Frames,” another standout track, encapsulates what this band is capable of when they’re at their best: melody and groove coming together with substantive lyrics. Paulson knows their strengths, rhythm and melody, and isn’t afraid to stick to that formula.
